Too Much Lovin! Too Much Likker! Too Much Lawbreakin'!
Whether it's the moonshine or a madman, This Stuff'll Kill Ya! Roscoe Boone (Jeffrey Allen from Two Thousand Maniacs!) is the hootin', hollerin' and altogether bogus preacher Roscoe (Jeffrey Allen) runs a liquor-makin' church that worships White Lightnin'. But when two Federal Agents threaten to bust up Boone's business, a series of gruesome murders occurs; one young lady gets stoned to death, and two sexy tourists wind up crucified! It all comes to a head-splattering climax in this twisted mix of horror and hillbillies from cult director Herschell Gordon Lewis (Blood Feast, Two Thousand Maniacs!), featuring Larry Drake (Darkman, "L.A. Law") and the final screen appearance of Hollywood veteran Tim Holt (Treasure of the Sierra Madre).
Plus, politics go corn pone when three "Technical Advisors" choose country-western crooner Hank Jackson (singer Claude King) as their Senate candidate. What follows during this Year of the Yahoo is a campaign of clever commercials and scripted "spontaneity" but utterly no substance. But when Hank's girlfriend accurately accuses him of selling out, his backers shut her up by having her attacked... Once feared lost, this rarity is smart, cynical, music-filled exploitation and one of the Lewis' best!
