Charles Berling plays Martin, a 40-something philosphy teacher in the throes of a mid-life crisis.This takes a turn when he begins an affair with Cecilia, a young woman half his age.At first, the relationship is purely physical, however, Martin soon finds himself driven to the brink of insanity when he realizes that he can not possess her.When Cecilia admits to another lover, Martin's jealousy erupts and his life spirals out of control.
