The Great Air Race

Barry Bostwick and Helen Slater star in this exciting adventure of man against man and man against machine, pitting pilots from around the world against each other in the challenge for the prize.

1934.The Great Depression was easing and the era of the great aviation pioneers was drawing to a close. The world was bracing itself for a war many felt inevitable, when one man announced a race that was to be the greatest the world had ever see; a race that would test both man and machine over the 12,000 grueling miles from London, England to Melbourne, Austrailia.

Pioneering pilots from around the world scrambled together to prepare their machines for the great race; each with reasons as different as the planes they were going to fly, each willing to take the ultimate risk to win.
