Memorial Day Weekend 2001:

Synthpop bands, DJ's, and fans from around the world gathered in the heart of Hollywood, California at the historic Roosevelt Hotel to celebrate a music genre and culture that continues to thrive since its introduction in the 1980's.

The first annual Synthcon hosted new and legendary bands from the world of Synthpop headlined by Elegant Machinery. Captured in docu-concert form, Synthcon 01 features 15 bands, 18 live performances, interviews with the bands and participants, and the first annual American Synthpop Awards hosted by Kurt Harland of Information Society fame.
