Mararia is a tragic tale of the destructive power of love and obsession set amid the volcanic splendor of the island of Lanzarote in the Mediterranean.Dr. Fermin (Carmelo Gomez) is a young doctor who becomes the island doctor during the time of the Spanish Civil War.Upon his arrival, he quickly falls beneath the spell of the bewitching Mararia (Goya Toledo), who returns his attentions, until the arrival of an English surveyor, Bertrand (Iain Glen), who quickly wins the heart of Mararia, setting the stage for an explosive tragedy for each of them.
