Andrea Chenier

Set in Paris during the French Revolution, this is Giordano's most passionate and successful opera. Placido Domingo stars in the title role as the idealistic poet of the French Revolution, and Maddalena, the object of Chenier's adoration, is portrayed by the Bulgarian soprano Anna Tomowa-Sintow.
