Legacy is a historical look at the photogravure work of Edward S. Curtis, who captured one of the most significant visual collections of traditional American Indian culture. Images illustrating the old time Indian, his dress, ceremonies, life and manners are presented against the backdrop of beautiful Native American music performed by Mary Youngblood, Joanne Shenandoah and Lawrence Laughing.

What is "photogravure?"
A photogravure is a method of printing from an intaglio plate that is etched, or engraved, according to a photographic image. The process was most popular during the turn of the century.
