Pavarotti: The Event: The World Cup Celebration Concert

Pavarotti - The Event is a 90-minute live concert of the great Italian tenor recorded at the end of May at the Palatrussardi in Milan. The programme comprises operatic arias and Neopolitan songs performed by Pavarotti at a special gala concert to honor thirteen footballing heroes of the World Cup.

The concert was ecstatically received by the 10,000 audience and the critics alike, with Pavarotti returning to sing no less than six encores - including "O sole mio!" and "Nessun dorma" - to standing ovations.
