Anthony Hopkins portrays an IRA gunman on the run in the beautiful and dangerous Ireland of 1920. He meets up with Nancy (Rebecca Pidgeon), a young woman just awakening to the possibilities of life, love, and enlists her dangerous mission. Soon what seemed to be a romantic game leads to deadly revolutionary violence, and Nancy faces life-and-death choices as the authorities fight back.
