Les Innocent aux Mains Sales
Julie (Romy Schneider) and her young lover, Jeff (Paolo Giusti) plot to murder Julie's rich and impotent husband Louis Wormser (Rod Steiger) and make it look like an accident.
After the deed, Jeff disappears and Julie is arrested on suspicion of murdering her husband, but through the efforts of a clever and manipulative lawyer (Jean Rochefort), she is released.
Upon returning home, she discovers her husband Louise, has returned in what proves to be the first of many plot twists in this tense thriller from France's master of suspense, Claude Chabrol.
