Sam and Iris both escaped from Nazi Germany with vivid memories of horror, including mysterious knowledge concerning taxidermy and mummification. They have been living out their twilight years in a secluded New England farmhouse, making sure the outside world will never learn. Unfortunately their strange and beautiful world is discovered by a young man bent on knowing, and exploiting, the dark secrets of their past and the delicate balance of Sam and Iris' "simple life" is forever disrupted.
