Gena Rowlands stars in acclaimed director Terence Davies' exquisitely bittersweet trip into the American south of the 1940's. When his flamboyant Aunt Mae comes to visit, David, a sensitive, but conflicted young man turns to her for salvation from his troubled home life with a brutal father.
