Taxi Driver (1976) follows the story of Travis Bickle, a mentally unstable Vietnam War veteran who works as a nighttime taxi driver in New York City, slowly descending into violent obsession. As he witnesses the city's decadence and corruption, he becomes determined to take violent action against it.
