In 'Doctor Who: Snakedance' (1983), the Doctor and his companion Tegan arrive on the planet Manussa, where they discover an ancient evil serpent known as the Mara is trying to re-emerge into the world. As the Mara attempts to take control, the Doctor must find a way to stop it and save the inhabitants from its malevolent influence.
