Set in 1960s Israel, "Dear Mr. Waldman" follows the life of a young boy named Hilik who through his vivid imagination, copes with his father's traumatic experiences from the Holocaust and the family's struggles to adapt to post-war life. Hilik invents fantastical stories, hoping to mend his father's broken spirit and bring a sense of normalcy to their lives.
