Pavarotti: The Event

The Event is an 87-minute live concert by the great Italian tenor recorded at the end of May, 1990, at the Palatrussardi in Milan.The programme comprises operatic arias and Neapolitan songs performed by Pavarotti at a special gala concert to honour thirteen footballing heroes of the World Cup.The concert was ecstatically received to sing no less than six encores--including "O sole mio!" and "Nessum dorma"--to standing ovations.
